Catalog Brewing will be making a limited batch of rainwater ale brewed from both local ingredients and rainwater collected at the farmers market. Brewing will begin at 4pm at the rainwater trailer located at 4100 Rhode Island Ave. Hope to see you there!

Hops have been transplanted to the tubs at the Rt. 1 Farmers market, however, they did not all survive. June 28 10:00am-11:00am -- Sears Catalog Home walking tour Take a walk with Catalog Brewing as they visit some of the Sears Catalog homes in the vicinity near the Route 1 Farmers Market. Learn a bit about the legacy of the Sears Catalog home that serves as inspiration for Catalog Brewing and helps give the Gateway Arts District some of it’s charm. The walk will last approximately 1 hour. July 19 10:00am-12:00pm -- Solar Hot Water Heater Demo Come learn how Catalog Brewing turned an old 5 gallon beer keg, glass, and wood, into a solar hot water heater. This heater can raise water temperature to 180 degrees, hot enough to kill many waterborne bacteria! Catalog Brewing will explain how it works, and share plans with anyone interested in making one of these handy water heaters for themselves. August 16 -- 10:00am-12:00pm -- On Site Brewing Demo We love to brew beer! Come join us while we brew a 5 gallon batch of something special right on site at the Route 1 Farmers Market and Bazaar. New to homebrewing? Come and get some tips on how to best get started. Experienced homebrewer? Come share some of your tricks that you have learned along the way. September 27 -- 10:00am-11:00am -- Rain Barrel Give Away and Raffle We will announce the winners of the lottery to win one of THREE pairs of 50 gallon Rain Barrels for use on their property. Residents of the Gateway Arts District and Prince Georges County can enter the raffle at any of the Catalog Brewing Workshops. 100 gallon rain collection systems are eligible for Maryland State rebates through the DER.
